Bruce Melodie

Bruce Melodie, born Itahiwacu Bruce on March 3, 1992, in Kicukiro, Kigali, Rwanda, is a Rwandan singer, songwriter, and performer known for his blend of R&B, Afrobeat, and contemporary African music. He began singing at an early age in a church choir and launched his professional career in 2013 with the song “Tubivemo.”

Bruce Melodie rose to national fame with hits such as “Ndumiwe,” “Ntundize,” and “When She Is Around,” featuring Jamaican star Shaggy. He won Primus Guma Guma SuperStar Season 8 in 2018 and has collaborated with artists including Harmonize, Sheebah Karungi, B2C, and Khaligraph Jones. Founder of Igitangaza Music and a member of 1:55 AM, Bruce Melodie is widely regarded as one of Rwanda’s leading and most influential contemporary musicians.
