Bongo Flava, Afrobeats
Juma Mussa Mkambala, known professionally as Jux, is a Tanzanian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur born on September 1, 1989, in Dar es Salaam. His music blends R&B, Bongo Flava, and Afrobeats.
Jux began his music career in the late 2000s and became known for songs such as “Nitasubiri,” “Fashion Killer,” “Sugua,” “Juu,” and “Enjoy.” He has collaborated with artists including Diamond Platnumz, Vanessa Mdee, Zuchu, Marioo, Bien, Gyakie, and Joh Makini.
He released his debut album, The Love Album, in 2019, followed by King of Hearts in 2022. Beyond music, Jux is also the founder of The African Boy Brand, a fashion business he launched in 2018.
Jux has received several music awards and nominations throughout his career, including a Headies Award for Best East African Artist in 2025.
