50 Cent has shared an update on Eminem's next album, revealing that the rapper stepped back from work on the Street Fighter movie soundtrack to focus on his upcoming solo project.
Speaking to the Associated Press at the film's red-carpet premiere, 50 Cent said Eminem had already put together some material for the soundtrack before deciding to focus on his own album.
“He put a couple of pieces together for it,” 50 Cent said, explaining that Eminem had moved closer to his album and was preparing its presentation.
The comments have raised interest among Eminem's fans, who are waiting for news about his next release. However, neither a release date nor an official album announcement has been confirmed in the reports available.
The soundtrack project had previously been expected to bring together 50 Cent, Eminem and the late Tupac Shakur. In July, 50 Cent said the song would use vocals supplied by Tupac's estate and that artificial intelligence was not involved.
Eminem's reported decision to step back from the soundtrack leaves questions about his involvement in the final track. Further details have not been confirmed.
Meanwhile, 50 Cent is part of the cast of the upcoming live-action Street Fighter film, in which he plays Balrog. The movie is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 16, 2026, according to its official website.
For now, fans will have to wait for further information from Eminem or his representatives to learn when his next album might arrive.
