A$AP Rocky is celebrating his 38th birthday today, October 3, 2026, as the Harlem rapper continues to build his career across music, film and fashion.

Born Rakim Mayers on October 3, 1988, Rocky became one of hip-hop’s most recognizable artists after breaking through in the early 2010s with his mixtape Live.Love.A$AP and songs such as “Peso” and “Purple Swag.” His music helped bring a different sound from Harlem to a global audience.

This year has been another busy period for Rocky. He released his fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb, his first full-length album in nearly eight years. The project was followed by the Don’t Be Dumb World Tour, which has taken him to major cities in North America and Europe. He is scheduled to perform in Prague on October 4 at the O2 Arena.

Rocky has also continued to grow his career outside music. He appeared in Spike Lee’s film Highest 2 Lowest and also had a role in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. His work in fashion has also made him a major name beyond hip-hop, including creative partnerships with leading fashion brands.

Away from music and film, Rocky shares a family with Rihanna. The couple have three children, including their daughter Rocki Irish Mayers, who turned one in September. Rihanna recently shared rare photos of their youngest child with fans.

Rocky also has an important legal chapter behind him. In February 2025, a Los Angeles jury found him not guilty of two felony assault charges connected to a 2021 Hollywood incident involving former friend A$AP Relli.

From his early days in Harlem to music, movies, fashion and family life, A$AP Rocky enters his 38th year with several parts of his career moving at the same time.
