A$AP Rocky has released the official music video for “Shroom Clouds,” bringing a long-awaited song to life after years of anticipation from fans. The video arrived on Monday, October 19, just days after the track became available on streaming platforms.
The new visual takes viewers into a colourful, dreamlike world before bringing the story back to the streets of New York City. Rocky co-directed the video with Aisultan Seitov and Pietro Biz Biasia, giving the release a visual style that matches the song’s psychedelic sound.
“Shroom Clouds” features vocals from reggie and Jeremih, adding different voices to Rocky’s performance. The song was first known to fans as “Mushroom Clouds” and was performed live in 2021 and 2022, long before its official release.
The track arrived on Friday, October 16, and has now received its own official video. Rocky previously spoke about working on the visual for years, saying he wanted to get it right before sharing it with the public.
The release also builds excitement around “Don’t Be Dumb (Disc 2),” the next part of Rocky’s album project. In an interview with Complex, the rapper explained that the second disc will bring together songs from his past years, including tracks that had not been included on earlier projects, alongside new material and revised versions of familiar songs.
Songs such as “Babushka Boi” and “Sundress” are among the tracks Rocky has discussed for the project. He has also said he wants listeners to hear the second disc as part of the wider story behind Don’t Be Dumb.
With the release of “Shroom Clouds” and its official video, Rocky is giving fans a long-awaited track while offering another look at the creative direction of his next chapter. The full release date for Don’t Be Dumb (Disc 2) has not been confirmed.
