Afro Nation has announced the first lineup for its 2027 Portugal festival, with Davido, Rema and Fally Ipupa leading the bill.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, September 23, as the festival revealed the first wave of artists for its seventh edition. GIMS has also been announced as a special guest.
Other artists confirmed for the main Lit Stage include Omah Lay, Victony, Shenseea, Valiant, Rayvanny, Odeal, Bamby and Miimii KDS. More artists are expected to be announced later.
Afro Nation Portugal 2027 will take place from June 9 to June 11, 2027, at Praia da Rocha in Portimão, Algarve. The festival is moving to an earlier June date after recent editions were held later in the summer.
The festival will also bring amapiano to the Piano People Stage, with Kabza De Small, TxC and Dlala Thukzin among the names announced. The Afrotronic Stage will feature artists including Caiiro and Djeff.
For Davido, Rema and Fally Ipupa, the announcement marks another return to a festival where all three have performed before. Rema previously headlined the Portugal edition in 2024, while Davido and Fally Ipupa have also appeared at the festival in previous years.
Tickets will begin with priority pre-sale on September 29 at 10 a.m. UK time, followed by the general sale on September 30 at 10 a.m. UK time.
With more names still expected, Afro Nation Portugal 2027 is already bringing together major artists from Afrobeats, amapiano, dancehall and other African music scenes for its return to Portimão.
