The venue says personal style is welcome, but guests must follow clear rules on appropriate clothing.
BK Arena has released official house rules for people attending events, putting its dress code in focus amid Rwanda’s ongoing debate about how people should dress at public events.
The venue says guests are free to express their personal style, but clothing must be appropriate for a shared public space.
Under the new guidelines, intimate areas must remain adequately covered. Transparent or see-through clothing is allowed only when it provides enough coverage of intimate areas.
BK Arena also says clothing with obscene, hateful, discriminatory or threatening words, images or symbols will not be permitted.
The guidelines apply to all guests attending events at the arena and are part of the venue’s wider effort to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
