Cardi B has made her debut on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series, delivering a live performance packed with hit songs, personal moments and her trademark humour. Released on Monday, October 19, 2026, the performance gave fans a different way to experience some of the rapper’s best-known songs.

Wearing leather pants and a power blazer, Cardi performed with a live band at NPR’s office in Washington, D.C. The intimate setting drew a large crowd eager to see the Grammy-winning rapper perform without the scale of a traditional concert stage.

She opened with “Hello,” setting the mood with a confident performance before moving into a reworked version of “ErrTime.” The set then took a more personal turn with “Man of Your Word” and “Be Careful,” showing another side of the rapper’s music.

Cardi soon brought the energy back with “Up” and “AH HA,” keeping her personality at the centre of the performance. She closed with two major songs from her catalogue, “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It,” giving the audience a chance to enjoy familiar hits in fresh live arrangements.

Throughout the set, Cardi mixed her music with jokes and moments of connection with the crowd. Her performance showed the balance between her bold rap style and the humour that has helped make her a well-known personality beyond music.

She was joined by music director Adam Blackstone, who played bass and keyboards, alongside DJ Ray G and other musicians on guitar, drums, saxophone and trumpet. Background vocalists Tiffany Stevens and Ebony Franklin also supported the performance.

The Tiny Desk appearance comes after the release of Cardi’s second studio album, Am I the Drama?, in September 2025. She has continued releasing music, including “Ah Ha,” which arrived in July 2026.

With performances ranging from emotional songs to major hits, Cardi B’s Tiny Desk debut offered fans a more intimate look at her catalogue and stage presence. The set also brought her music to audiences who enjoy hearing familiar songs reimagined with live instruments.
