JAY-Z has reportedly chosen himself to headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show in 2027, according to a new report from Puck published on October 20. However, neither the NFL nor Roc Nation has officially confirmed who will perform.
The report says JAY-Z is expected to take the stage at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on February 14, 2027. It also names Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber as artists who were considered before JAY-Z reportedly emerged as the leading choice.
JAY-Z has played a major role in the Super Bowl halftime show since Roc Nation partnered with the NFL in 2019 to help select and produce the performances. A performance by the rapper himself would mark a different step for the music executive, who has helped shape the show behind the scenes for several years.
The report follows earlier coverage of possible performers. In September, TMZ reported that Justin Bieber and Harry Styles were among the artists on Roc Nation’s wish list. That report said neither singer had been approached at the time.
Puck’s latest report does not amount to an official announcement. The publication said representatives for the NFL and Roc Nation did not respond to requests for comment.
Super Bowl LXI is scheduled for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Until the NFL or Roc Nation confirms the halftime performer, JAY-Z’s reported involvement remains unconfirmed.
Fans will have to wait for an official announcement to learn who will take the stage at one of the biggest events in American sports and entertainment.
