Rwandan artist Kenny K-Shot has released a new song titled “DARLING,” accompanied by a performance video that keeps the focus entirely on him and the music.
In the video, Kenny K-Shot sits alone on a chair in front of a microphone, delivering the song in a simple setting without elaborate scenes or a large cast. The minimalist approach puts his performance at the centre, allowing viewers to focus on the vocals and the song’s message.
“DARLING” explores romantic attraction, uncertainty and the thoughts that come with trying to understand someone’s feelings. The song offers a more personal moment from the artist, with the solo video bringing its emotional themes into focus.
Kenny K-Shot wrote the song, while The Matrxx handled production. Kevin Karahamuheto served as creative director, and Mike Karahamuheto directed the video. The production team also included assistant director Schamgar Mugisha, camera operator Urbain and assistant camera operator Bora Shingiro. Agura Group was the production house.
The release adds a new track to Kenny K-Shot’s catalogue and gives listeners both the song and a visual performance built around its delivery. “DARLING” is available on streaming platforms, including Spotify.
