Rwandan artists KidFromKigali, Shemi and Kivumbi King have joined forces on a new song titled “Umwali,” released with an official YouTube visualiser. The song brings together three different voices from Rwanda’s current music scene. It was produced by Ehl3rs, while Kenny Draper handled the mixing and mastering.
“Umwali” explores love, heartbreak and the emotional side of life in the spotlight. The lyrics also touch on vulnerability, with the song reminding listeners that being a star does not mean a person is free from feelings. The official visualiser is now available on YouTube, while the song has also been released on streaming platforms. “Umwali” is listed on Spotify’s New Music Friday Kenya playlist and is also available through Amazon Music and other digital music services.
With KidFromKigali, Shemi and Kivumbi King on the same record, “Umwali” brings together three artists for a new sound that adds another collaboration to Rwanda’s growing music scene.
