Max Verstappen won the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday, October 11, giving Red Bull another victory after a controlled drive at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. Charles Leclerc finished second for Ferrari, while Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli took third place.
Starting from pole position, Verstappen held off Leclerc at the first corner and kept the lead. The Ferrari driver challenged early, but Verstappen gradually opened a gap as the race continued.
Red Bull’s pit-stop strategy helped Verstappen maintain control. He made his stop on lap 33 and returned to the track still in first place. Radio communication problems later affected the team’s conversations with the Dutch driver, but they did not prevent him from securing the win.
Leclerc crossed the line more than seven seconds behind Verstappen. Antonelli completed the podium after moving ahead of Lewis Hamilton in the closing stages.
Hamilton had started third but struggled with tyre performance late in the race. McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri passed him, leaving the seven-time world champion in sixth place.
Norris finished fourth, followed by Piastri in fifth. Hamilton was sixth, while Liam Lawson took seventh for Racing Bulls. Nico Hülkenberg finished eighth for Audi.
Antonelli’s podium finish also strengthened his position in the drivers’ championship. The Italian extended his lead over teammate George Russell to 102 points, putting him in a strong position ahead of the next race in Austin, Texas.
For Verstappen, the result marked his first Singapore Grand Prix victory. After winning the sprint race earlier in the weekend, he completed a successful visit to Marina Bay with another win for Red Bull.
The Formula 1 season now moves to the United States Grand Prix, scheduled for October 23–25, where Antonelli will have another opportunity to move closer to securing the championship.
