Netflix has released Unabomber, a new crime drama inspired by the real story of Ted Kaczynski, the man known as the Unabomber. The movie stars Jacob Tremblay as a young Ted Kaczynski and Russell Crowe as Harvard professor Henry Murray. It follows Kaczynski’s time at Harvard and later moves to the FBI investigation that led to his capture.
One interesting part of the movie is Shailene Woodley’s character, FBI agent Joanne Miller. The character is fictional, meaning she was created for the movie. The real investigation was much different, with Kaczynski’s brother, David, playing an important role in helping the FBI identify him.
The movie also explores the psychological experiments Kaczynski took part in at Harvard. Those events are based on real history, although the film adds fictional parts to create its story.
Directed by Janus Metz, Unabomber also stars Annabelle Wallis and is now streaming on Netflix. It gives viewers a dramatized look at the early life of Kaczynski and the investigation that eventually brought the case to an end.
