Rwandan Afrobeats singer Okkama has released the official music video for his song “Umwere.” The video was released on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
“Umwere” was first released as an audio track in June 2026. The song is part of Okkama’s first major studio album, Nyamabara.
The new video gives fans a visual story for the song, which focuses on love and relationships. Okkama uses smooth vocals and African rhythms throughout the track.
The song was produced by Kompressor, with guitar by Paccy Bolingo and mastering by Bob Pro.
Before the official video was released, “Umwere” had already gained attention on social media, with fans using the song in videos and taking part in the “Umwere Challenge.”
The music video is now available on YouTube, while the song can also be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music.
With the release of “Umwere,” Okkama continues to promote his Nyamabara album and build his name in Rwanda’s growing music scene.
