Sean “Diddy” Combs’ projected prison release date has been moved from January 21, 2028, to March 8, 2028, according to Bureau of Prisons records viewed by E! News.
The change comes as reports continue to detail allegations about Combs’ life inside FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, where he is serving his 50-month federal sentence.
NBC News recently reported that several inmates alleged Combs had access to special treatment, including massages, prepared meals and cleaning services. The report also alleged that he had access to contraband, including alcohol and a cellphone.
The allegations have not been independently established by prison officials. The Federal Bureau of Prisons said it does not comment on individual inmates or anecdotal allegations, while noting that contraband remains a challenge inside federal facilities.
Combs’ representative, Juda Engelmayer, pushed back against the attention surrounding the reports, saying Combs continues to serve his sentence and is awaiting the outcome of his appeal.
Combs was sentenced in October 2025 to 50 months in prison after a federal jury found him guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and two sex-trafficking charges. The U.S. Department of Justice confirmed the 50-month sentence.
E! News reported the new projected release date as March 8, 2028. However, other recent reports citing Bureau of Prisons records have listed March 2, 2028, so the exact date should be treated cautiously until the federal inmate record is consistent.
