The Game has released the official music video for “The Life,” giving fans a closer look at the Los Angeles lifestyle and personal story behind one of the standout tracks from his latest album, The Documentary III.
Released on August 27, 2026, the new visual marks the first music video from the rapper’s 11th solo studio album, which arrived on August 21.
Rather than focusing on the usual glamorous side of Los Angeles, “The Life” takes a more personal approach. The Compton rapper is shown spending time around the city, connecting with people in his neighborhood, washing his car and taking in familiar street scenes.
The visual was directed by Sela Vave and Rippy Austin, with the pair helping The Game present a more natural side of his life away from the spotlight.
Speaking about the concept, The Game described the video as a reflection of his everyday self and his connection to his city. He explained that the visual was meant to show more of who he is beyond the lights and public attention.
Produced by Maneesh Bidaye, “The Life” also reflects on The Game’s journey from difficult beginnings to the success he enjoys today. That contrast gives the track a deeper personal meaning while keeping the focus on his growth and life in Los Angeles.
The release comes as The Game continues the rollout of The Documentary III, an album featuring appearances from several major names in hip-hop, including Snoop Dogg, YG, E-40, Larry June, Black Thought, Ye and Drake.
With “The Life,” The Game is not simply showcasing his success — he is putting his hometown, his daily experiences and the journey that shaped him at the center of the story.
