Tyler Perry has listed his Beverly Hills mansion for $57 million as the filmmaker prepares to move to Puerto Rico and spend more time with his family.
American filmmaker and actor Tyler Perry has put his large Beverly Hills estate on the market for $57 million. The move comes as he plans to leave California and begin a new chapter in Puerto Rico in early 2027.
The 57-year-old filmmaker recently shared his plans to reduce his busy work schedule during an appearance on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle. Perry said he intends to "pull back a whole lot" from work, giving himself more time away from his demanding career and more opportunities to be with his 11-year-old son, Aman.
Perry's Beverly Hills property covers 22.5 acres of gated land and includes a 24,592-square-foot Mediterranean-style mansion. The home has nine bedrooms, 15 bathrooms and large outdoor spaces, including private balconies and terraces with views of the surrounding canyons.
The estate also features a 24-seat home theater, a bar, a game room, a music hall, a gym and a wine storage room. Its main bedroom includes a fireplace, a private deck, walk-in closets and dedicated massage and salon rooms.
According to reports, Perry bought the land for $4.3 million in 2004 and later built the mansion, completing construction in 2012. The property is now listed for $57 million, with Santiago Arana and Griffin Riddle of The Agency handling the sale.
The mansion is also known for its connection to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In 2020, Perry offered the couple a place to stay in the United States as they stepped away from their senior roles in the British royal family. They lived at the estate for several months before buying their own home in Montecito, California.
Perry has built a successful career in film, television and entertainment, including the creation of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. His decision to move to Puerto Rico and reduce his workload marks a change in his plans after years of producing and directing major projects.
As he prepares for the move, the sale of his Beverly Hills mansion is one of several changes in his personal life. Perry is now looking ahead to spending more time with his son while continuing his work on a schedule that better fits his plans.
