Rwandan music star Bruce Melodie has been nominated for Best East African Artiste at the 18th Headies Awards, putting Rwanda among the leading music markets competing for regional recognition.
Bruce Melodie is nominated alongside Abigail Chams of Tanzania, Bien of Kenya, Harmonize of Tanzania, and Joshua Baraka of Uganda. The category recognizes an outstanding artiste or group from East Africa during the year under review.
The nomination adds another major international recognition to Bruce Melodie’s career and gives Rwanda a strong representative at one of Africa’s major music awards.
The 18th Headies will be held in Toronto, Canada, on October 23, 2026, as the awards make their Canadian debut.
