Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake has released the official music video for “Oba,” a track from his fourth studio album, M$NEY. The video is released under GIRAN Republic and EMPIRE.
“Oba” first appeared on M$NEY, which was released on May 1, 2026. The 13-track album marked Asake’s first full-length project under his own label, GIRAN Republic, in partnership with EMPIRE, following his departure from Olamide’s YBNL Nation.
The song builds on themes of confidence, success and personal style. Its title, “Oba,” means “king” in Yoruba, reflecting the song’s focus on status and self-assurance.
The track also has a history with Asake’s earlier music. In its review of M$NEY, The Native reported that “Oba” was reworked from an earlier song called “Military,” with updated production and lyrics.
The album features other tracks, including “Gratitude,” “Forgiveness,” “Rora” and “WORSHIP,” Asake’s collaboration with French DJ and producer DJ Snake.
The new video gives fans another way to experience “Oba” beyond the original album release. It also adds to the visual rollout of M$NEY as Asake continues to share material from the project.
The official “Oba” music video is available on Asake’s YouTube channel. The song is also available on digital music platforms.
