Aston Villa secured their first Premier League win of the season with a 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Aston Villa took control of the game after a difficult first half and held on for all three points despite a late fightback from Tottenham.

Johan Manzambi opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time after Villa took advantage of a defensive mistake. It was a special moment for the youngster as he made his first Premier League start for the club.

Nicolas Jackson then doubled Villa's lead in the second half before Emiliano Buendía made it 3-0 with a stunning strike. Tottenham responded late through Conor Gallagher and Jan Paul van Hecke, but Villa held on to win 3-2.

Villa goalkeeper Zion Suzuki also played an important role, making several key saves as Tottenham created chances during the match. Spurs had more possession but struggled to turn their opportunities into goals.

The result gives Aston Villa their first league win of the season, while Tottenham remain without a Premier League victory after five matches. The defeat leaves Spurs in the relegation zone with two points.
