American rapper Cardi B celebrates her 34th birthday on Sunday, October 11, 2026, marking another year in a career that has made her one of the most recognised names in modern hip-hop. From her early days on reality television to topping music charts, she has built a career known for hit songs, bold lyrics and a strong public personality.

Born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar in New York City, Cardi B grew up in the Bronx. She first gained wider attention through social media videos before joining the reality television series Love & Hip Hop: New York in 2015. She later left the show to focus on music.

Her early releases helped her build a following, but her career reached a new level in 2017 with “Bodak Yellow.” The song topped the Billboard Hot 100, making her the first female rapper in the 21st century to reach No. 1 on the chart with a solo song.

In 2018, Cardi B released her debut studio album, Invasion of Privacy. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and earned her the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album in 2019. She became the first solo woman to win the award.

The album also produced major hits, including “I Like It” and “Bodak Yellow.” Her success continued through collaborations such as Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP,” adding to her record of chart-topping songs.

In September 2025, Cardi B released her second studio album, Am I the Drama?. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, giving her two consecutive chart-topping studio albums. It followed several years of anticipation for her second full-length project.

Her career has also brought major milestones in music certifications. In August 2026, “WAP” received a Diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, giving Cardi B four Diamond-certified songs. The achievement placed her among the most commercially successful female rappers in the United States.

Away from music, Cardi B is a mother of four. She shares three children with Offset and welcomed her fourth child, a son with football player Stefon Diggs, in November 2025.

As Cardi B celebrates her 34th birthday, her journey from the Bronx to the top of the music charts remains a major part of her story. With two No. 1 albums and a catalogue of successful singles, she continues to hold a prominent place in hip-hop.

Happy birthday to Cardi B.
