Jay-Z is set to headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show on February 14, 2027, raising questions about which artists could join him on stage. One name that may interest hip-hop fans is Kanye West, his former close collaborator. However, Kanye has not been announced as a guest performer, and there is no confirmation that the two will reunite for “N****s in Paris.”

The song, released in 2011 on their collaborative album Watch the Throne, became one of their best-known hits. A performance together at the Super Bowl would bring two influential hip-hop artists back on stage, but their relationship has faced several public problems over the years.

One widely discussed moment came in 2014, when Jay-Z and Beyoncé did not attend Kanye’s wedding to Kim Kardashian in Italy. Kanye later said he was hurt by their absence, although the wedding was only one part of a more complicated relationship.

Tensions became more public in 2016, when Kanye criticised Jay-Z during his Saint Pablo Tour. He complained that Jay-Z had not visited him after Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris and spoke about the distance between their families. Kanye also raised disagreements involving Tidal, the streaming service Jay-Z co-owned.

Jay-Z later addressed the dispute, saying that Kanye bringing his wife and children into the public argument had hurt him. Despite their problems, Jay-Z said in 2017 that he still loved Kanye and considered him his brother.

The pair later reunited musically on “Jail,” a track from Kanye’s 2021 album Donda. However, their relationship faced further public tension in subsequent years, and there has been no confirmed announcement of a new joint performance.

With Jay-Z preparing for the Super Bowl halftime show, fans may hope to see the pair perform “N****s in Paris” again. For now, though, Kanye’s involvement remains speculation. Until Jay-Z, the NFL or Roc Nation announces the guest lineup, a reunion should not be treated as confirmed.
