Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has won Album of the Year at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) for his album 5IVE.
The AFRIMMA 2026 awards ceremony was held at Annette Strauss Square in Dallas, Texas. Davido entered the event as the most-nominated artist, with five nominations.
His album 5IVE was nominated for the top album award alongside other African music projects. Davido eventually took home the trophy for Album of the Year.
The win adds another award to Davido’s long music career. The Nigerian singer has remained one of the major names in Afrobeats, with music reaching listeners across Africa and other parts of the world.
Davido shared the achievement with his fans, who celebrated the win online after the AFRIMMA ceremony.
