Lionel Richie's “Stuck on You” remains one of the memorable songs from his solo career. Released in 1984, the country-pop ballad showed a different side of the singer, who had already gained fame as a member of the Commodores.

The song became a major hit, reaching number three on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Adult Contemporary chart. It also reached number 12 on the UK Singles Chart.

“Stuck on You” was part of Richie's second solo album, Can't Slow Down, which also featured popular songs such as “Hello,” “All Night Long (All Night)” and “Running with the Night.”

The song is also receiving attention as Richie prepares to return to the stage at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. His scheduled performances are November 11, 13 and 14, 2026.

The singer had taken a break from touring after undergoing a procedure for atrial fibrillation in September. His representative said the procedure went well and that Richie was doing well.

As he prepares to perform again, “Stuck on You” remains an important part of the music catalogue that has made Lionel Richie one of the most recognised names in pop and R&B.
