Shania Twain's record-breaking album Come On Over was released on November 4, 1997. Nearly three decades later, the album remains one of the biggest successes in country music history.

The singer's third studio album featured 16 songs, all co-written by Twain and her then-husband and producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange. It produced 12 singles, including popular hits such as “You're Still the One”, “That Don't Impress Me Much” and “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!”

With more than 40 million copies sold worldwide, Come On Over is recognised as the best-selling studio album by a solo female artist and the best-selling country album of all time.

The album is approaching its 30th anniversary in 2027, when Twain will also return to the UK and Ireland for her The Places I'll Go Tour, scheduled for June.

In an Instagram post, Twain invited fans to help choose songs for the upcoming shows by sharing their favourite tracks from her musical career. She said 2027 would be a special year, with major anniversaries for both Come On Over and her 2002 album Up!.

The singer also said she plans to include classic hits and newer songs in the shows. Special early-access tickets were available on November 4 through her official webstore for eligible customers, while general ticket sales are scheduled to begin on November 6 at 9 a.m. local time.

A biographical film about Twain's life and career is also in development, bringing further attention to the journey behind one of country music's most successful female artists.
