More than 50 artists came together at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday, September 19, 2026, for Scorpion Kings Live: A Family Affair.
The major South African music event was headlined by DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, known together as the Scorpion Kings. The concert brought Amapiano, hip-hop, Afro-soul, house and other sounds to one of Africa’s biggest stadiums.
Organizers said the event was built for more than 70,000 fans, making it one of the biggest Amapiano concerts held at FNB Stadium.
Focalistic Performs “Ke Star”
South African rapper Focalistic was one of the artists who performed during the concert.
He brought his Amapiano sound to the FNB Stadium stage and performed his popular song “Ke Star,” giving fans a chance to sing and dance along to one of his well-known hits.
Focalistic was part of a large Amapiano lineup that also included Daliwonga, Young Stunna, Kamo Mphela, Toss, Tman Xpress, LeeMcKrazy, MaWhoo, Busta 929 and Mr JazziQ.
A Star-Studded Lineup
The concert featured artists from different parts of South African music.
The lineup included Ami Faku, Msaki, Nobuhle, Nokwazi, Nkosazana Daughter and Mlindo The Vocalist.
Hip-hop was also represented by Nasty C and Blxckie, while veteran singer Ringo Madlingozi brought his experience to the stadium stage.
Other names on the main lineup included Aymos, Bontle Smith, Busiswa, Daliwonga, Lady Du, Mhaw Keys, Mthunzi, Nia Pearl, Njelic, Pcee, Scotts Maphuma, Semi Tee, Xduppy, Zaba and Young Stunna.
Canadian R&B duo DVSN was also announced as part of the wider lineup, adding an international sound to the South African music celebration.
Bontle Modiselle and Robot Boii Hosted
The event was hosted by Bontle Modiselle and Robot Boii, while veteran sports broadcaster Baba Mthethwa served as the Chief Commentator.
The organizers said the hosts were selected to help guide fans through the large stadium event.
A Family Affair
The concert was presented under the theme “A Family Affair.”
The idea was to bring different generations and styles of South African music together on one stage.
From Amapiano stars and rappers to Afro-soul singers and veteran performers, the lineup showed the wide range of music connected to South Africa's current music scene.
DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small Lead the Show
At the centre of the event were DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small, the duo behind the Scorpion Kings name.
The two artists have played a major role in the growth of Amapiano, a South African sound that has reached audiences across Africa and around the world.
Scorpion Kings Live at FNB Stadium marked another major stadium event for the duo after their 2025 show at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
The Johannesburg concert brought together thousands of music fans and more than 50 performers for a full day of South African music and entertainment.
