The Big Bang Theory spin-off series “Stuart Fails to Save the Universe” is getting closer to the end of its first season with Episode 9.
The episode is titled “Spoiler: We Couldn’t Get Green Lantern” and is scheduled to air on Thursday, September 17, 2026, on HBO Max.
The story follows Stuart Bloom, played by Kevin Sussman, as he tries to fix the damage caused after he accidentally breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard. His mistake leads to a multiverse disaster, forcing Stuart to travel between different realities to try to save the universe.
In Episode 9, Stuart’s plan starts to fall apart. He continues his mission with help from his girlfriend Denise, played by Lauren Lapkus, geologist Bert, played by Brian Posehn, and Barry Kripke, played by John Ross Bowie.
The episode is the penultimate chapter of Season 1, leaving two episodes to finish the season’s story. The series has also been renewed for Season 2.
“Stuart Fails to Save the Universe” takes the characters from The Big Bang Theory into a science-fiction story filled with different universes and action. The series premiered on HBO Max on July 23, 2026.
