Tuchel has named his 27-man England squad for the September and October international window, with Palmer and Alexander-Arnold among the players returning to the team.
The squad was announced on September 18, 2026, as England prepare to begin their new UEFA Nations League campaign. The Three Lions will face Spain, Czechia and Croatia during the extended international window.
Palmer returns after missing England’s 2026 World Cup squad. The Chelsea forward has started the new season strongly and is back in Tuchel’s plans.
Alexander-Arnold is also back in the England squad after missing the World Cup. The Real Madrid defender is included alongside his club teammate Jude Bellingham.
There is also a first senior England call-up for Liverpool teenager Rio Ngumoha. The 18-year-old is one of several players selected after making an impression at club level.
Other players returning to the squad include Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lewis Hall, Jarrad Branthwaite, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Alex Scott.
One of the notable absences is Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden, who is not included in the latest squad.

Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jarrad Branthwaite, Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Guéhi, Lewis Hall, Ezri Konsa, Tino Livramento, Nico O'Reilly and Jarell Quansah.
Midfielders: Elliot Anderson, Jude Bellingham, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kobbie Mainoo, Cole Palmer, Declan Rice and Alex Scott.
Forwards: Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Eberechi Eze, Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane, Rio Ngumoha, Marcus Rashford, Morgan Rogers and Bukayo Saka.
England will begin the Nations League campaign against Spain at Wembley on September 26. They will then travel to Prague to face Czechia on September 29 before playing Croatia in Rijeka on October 3. The window will finish with another home match against Czechia on October 6.
