The Puerto Rican superstar won Outstanding Variety Special (Live) at the Emmy Awards on Saturday, September 5, 2026. He was also credited as a producer and performer on the show.
The halftime performance was a huge success, winning seven Emmy Awards in total. That made it the most-awarded Super Bowl halftime show in TV history.
Bad Bunny’s 13-minute show celebrated Puerto Rican and Latino culture. More than 120 million people watched the performance when it aired in February.
The show also won awards for directing, choreography, music direction, sound and lighting. Its seven wins broke the previous record held by Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show.
The Emmy win also puts Bad Bunny closer to EGOT status. He already has six Grammy Awards and now an Emmy. To complete the EGOT, he would still need an Oscar and a Tony Award.
At just 32, Bad Bunny has already become one of the biggest names in music, and his latest Emmy win adds another major achievement to his growing career.
