Cardi B brought her music to Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, on November 1, 2026, where she performed at the annual Hoptoberfest concert. Clips showing the rapper performing her song “Magnet” have been shared across social media.

Her appearance came after a last-minute change to the event’s lineup. Daniel Caesar, who was originally announced as the headliner, became unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances. On October 31, university organisers announced Cardi B as his replacement.

The concert was also moved from Saturday, October 31, to Sunday, November 1, with the performance scheduled for 8 p.m. It took place at the Ralph S. O’Connor Center for Recreation & Well-Being.

The lineup change came just days after tickets for the original concert sold out. Students who had already secured tickets were allowed to use them for the rescheduled event, while hundreds of others remained on the waitlist.

Cardi B’s performance gave students a different headliner for this year’s Hoptoberfest, which is an annual Johns Hopkins University tradition. Her appearance also brought attention to “Magnet”, a track from her second studio album, Am I the Drama?.
