A nursing student named Ben has won $250,000 after becoming the first eligible participant to find YouTube star iShowSpeed during a livestreamed scavenger hunt in New York City.
The challenge took place on October 28, 2026, as the finale of Dr. Squatch’s “Million Dollar Mission,” a nine-week campaign created with iShowSpeed. The event challenged fans to track down the popular streamer, who was hiding at a secret location with a $250,000 prize waiting for the winner.
Participants followed GPS coordinate clues revealed during iShowSpeed’s livestream. Five costumed Dr. Squatch characters stationed around New York City also carried additional numbers to help participants narrow down his location. Ben managed to follow the clues and reach iShowSpeed in a little over an hour, according to reports.
When they finally met, iShowSpeed revealed the prize and congratulated Ben as the moment unfolded on camera. Reports identified the winner as a nursing student who had around $2,000 in his bank account before the challenge, although that financial detail has been reported by other outlets and has not been independently confirmed.
The hunt concluded a wider campaign that offered $1 million in prizes through 25 challenges across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. Ben’s win has since drawn attention online, turning an ordinary fan’s search for a popular streamer into a $250,000 payday.
