Rwandan rapper Khalfan Govinda has released the official music video for “Babiri Babiri,” a collaboration featuring nine other artists from Rwanda’s music scene. The song brings together Davis D, Passy Kizito, Marina Deborah, Alto Muzik, Bulldogg, Okkama, Papa Cyangwe, Social Mula and Uncle Austin.
“Babiri Babiri” is part of Khalfan Govinda’s five-track My Way EP. The project also includes “Sabine,” featuring Karambizi, alongside “My Way,” “Kuno Kuno” and “Wine.” The EP brings together different artists and producers across its tracks.
The collaboration stands out for its large lineup, combining singers and rappers on one record. It gives the featured artists a chance to share a song while bringing together different styles from Rwanda’s urban music scene. The track was produced by Iyzzo Pro.
Khalfan introduced the My Way project to fans through a listening party at Droom Resort in Kanzenze, Bugesera, in October. He explained that the project reflects a change in his approach to music, with a greater focus on messages he can share with listeners.
The official “Babiri Babiri” video is available on Khalfan Govinda’s YouTube channel. Fans can watch the collaboration and see how the artists come together on one of the tracks from his My Way project.
