Ugandan music star Spice Diana is celebrating her 30th birthday on October 23, 2026, marking another year in the life of one of Uganda’s recognised female artists. Born Hajara Namukwaya Diana, she has spent more than a decade building her name through music, live performances and collaborations.

Spice Diana’s journey began before fame. She developed an interest in music while attending school in Kampala and continued pursuing her education as she worked to establish herself as an artist. She later studied Industrial Art at Makerere University, balancing her studies with the demands of a growing music career.

Her breakthrough came in 2014 with “Onsanula,” a song that helped introduce her to a wider audience. The release became an important starting point for her career, and she went on to build a catalogue that includes songs such as “Siri Regular,” “Bajikona,” “Anti Kale” and “Omusheshe,” her collaboration with fellow Ugandan singer Ray G.

Over the years, Spice Diana has also worked with other artists, including Pallaso, while earning recognition through awards and major live performances. Her achievements include the Best Female Breakthrough Artist award at the 2015 HiPipo Music Awards and Female Artist of the Year honours at the Zzina Awards in 2018 and 2019.

Her career has also included challenges and changes in direction. While growing her music profile, she continued her education and moved through different management arrangements before building her own identity in Uganda’s competitive music industry.

Away from her music releases, Spice Diana has remained a familiar name in Ugandan entertainment, with her fashion choices, public appearances and relationships with fellow artists often attracting attention. This year, she is reportedly spending her birthday outside Uganda.

The birthday comes as she looks toward another chapter in her career. Her next concert, “After 10 of Spice Diana,” is scheduled for January 16, 2027, at Marriott Hotel in Nsambya, Kampala. The show follows her 10 Years of Spice Diana concert, which took place in January 2025.

As she turns 30, Spice Diana’s story reflects years of work, education, musical growth and live performances. From the early success of “Onsanula” to the songs and concerts that followed, she has built a lasting presence in Uganda’s music scene.

Happy 30th birthday to Spice Diana!
