Kanye West, also known as Ye, surprised music fans with a giant Earth-shaped stage used during his live concerts.
The huge structure looked like a real planet inside the stadium. It showed blue oceans, clouds and land, creating the feeling that Kanye was performing on top of Earth.
The stage was not simply a giant ball. It was carefully built with a steel frame, lightweight materials, a lift system and projection technology.
How the Earth Structure Was Built
Building a giant Earth inside a stadium required careful planning and special equipment. The structure was made from different parts to keep it strong but light:
- Steel Frame — Workers first built a large steel frame in the center of the stadium. It formed the main structure of the giant Earth.
- Top Platform — A flat platform was built at the top of the frame. This gave Kanye a place to stand and perform on top of the planet.
- Hidden Lift — A lift was placed inside the structure. It allowed Kanye to rise through the top of the Earth for his entrance.
- Fabric Outer Shell — The outside was made from lightweight fabric instead of heavy solid materials. Air was used to keep the large shell stretched and in shape.
- Earth Images — Projectors were used to show realistic images of Earth on the fabric surface. This made the structure look like a giant glowing planet.
One of the most interesting parts of the stage was the use of projection technology. Instead of covering the entire structure with LED screens, projectors displayed high-resolution images across the outer surface.
The images showed moving clouds, oceans and continents, making the Earth appear to rotate and change during the show.
The stage also gave Kanye a dramatic way to enter the performance. The hidden lift allowed him to rise from inside the giant structure before appearing on top of the planet.
The design showed how modern concerts are using engineering and visual technology to create new experiences for fans. What looked like a giant glowing planet was actually a carefully built stage that combined steel, fabric, air, lifts and projection technology.
Kanye’s giant Earth stage became one of the most eye-catching parts of his live performances, giving fans a concert experience that looked very different from a normal stage.
