Celebrities brought creativity, fashion and pop-culture references to Halloween 2026, with some choosing famous personalities as inspiration while others turned to movies, music and unusual ideas. From Heidi Klum’s shocking transformation to Kim Kardashian’s playful tribute to her daughter, this year’s costumes gave fans plenty to talk about.
Heidi Klum once again attracted attention with an elaborate transformation at her 25th annual Halloween party in New York. The model arrived dressed as a giant, bloody version of her own severed left hand. The costume featured realistic details, including long red nails, her rings and a tattoo of her husband Tom Kaulitz’s name. The transformation took around five to six hours to put on.
Kim Kardashian also took a personal approach, dressing as her 13-year-old daughter North West. She recreated North’s style with electric-blue hair, facial piercings and a gothic outfit. North had several costumes of her own, including Edward Scissorhands, Japanese virtual pop star Hatsune Miku and reality television personality Natalie Nunn. She also recreated characters from Teen Titans.
Other celebrities turned to famous pop-culture figures for inspiration. Lisa Rinna recreated Kylie Jenner’s orange Chrome Hearts outfit from the Marty Supreme premiere, while Paris Hilton paid tribute to Britney Spears by recreating her famous 2001 MTV Video Music Awards look from the “I’m a Slave 4 U” performance. Hilton also appeared as Belle in a family Beauty and the Beast costume.
Music and comedy also inspired some unusual looks. Keke Palmer and her son recreated the futuristic style of Michael and Janet Jackson from the “Scream” music video. Harry Styles took a more humorous approach by dressing as the famous New York Pizza Rat, while Lily Allen turned Ticketmaster’s complicated seating chart into a wearable costume.
Zendaya also joined the Halloween celebrations with a fashion tribute to actress Halle Berry. With help from her stylist Law Roach, she recreated the yellow and brown Lanvin two-piece outfit Berry wore to the New York premiere of X-Men in July 2000. The original look returned more than two decades later, giving fans a memorable fashion moment.
From elaborate transformations to tributes inspired by music, movies and fellow celebrities, Halloween 2026 once again gave stars an opportunity to show their creativity through costumes.
