Drake’s highly anticipated FOMO project has arrived, giving fans a new look at the rapper’s music, creativity and personal message about making the most of life.
The film is now available on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Music. Drake had previously described it as a “not so short film” and called the project “self-funded surrealism.”
The project mixes music videos, new songs and unusual cinematic moments. Drake appears in several different settings, including a neon-green speedboat, workout scenes and Toronto locations connected to his career.
The film also features appearances from artists and celebrities including Don Toliver, Yeat, Sexyy Red, Kevin Durant and Winnie Harlow. The project includes previously unreleased musical moments and new collaborations.
One of the musical surprises is Drake’s take on Ella Langley’s country hit “Choosin’ Texas.” The version featured in FOMO adds Don Toliver and gives the song a different R&B feel.
Before the premiere, Drake shared a message explaining the idea behind the project. He described FOMO as a story about making the most of one summer and encouraged people to stop waiting for the perfect moment to make important decisions.
His message focused on knowing who to trust, spending time with people who matter and taking action instead of constantly waiting. The idea also connects with the meaning of the film’s title, Fear of Missing Out, which describes the feeling that other people are experiencing something important while you are missing it.
After its premiere, FOMO briefly disappeared from Drake’s YouTube channel when the video was made private. Drake later announced that the film had returned to YouTube, giving fans another opportunity to watch the project.
The temporary disappearance added another unexpected moment to the release, which had already attracted attention because Drake kept much of the project secret before its premiere.
The FOMO premiere also brought another major announcement. Drake confirmed that he plans to return to the road in 2027 for a world tour. He said fans would see him again around the world, but specific tour dates, cities and venues have not yet been announced.
The upcoming tour would follow Drake’s It’s All a Blur Tour, which ran from 2023 into 2024.
For now, FOMO gives fans a new visual project while Drake prepares for another major chapter in his career. The film combines music, personal messages, comedy, celebrity appearances and cinematic visuals into one project, making FOMO another unusual release in Drake’s 2026 run.
