Everton scored in the 95th minute to secure a dramatic 2–2 draw against Manchester United at the Hill Dickinson Stadium
Manchester United looked set to leave with all three points after taking a late 2–1 lead, but Ainsley Maitland-Niles had the final say with a powerful finish deep into stoppage time.
United took the lead just after halftime when Bryan Mbeumo scored in the 46th minute. Everton fought back and equalized through Tyrique George in the 82nd minute.
The visitors quickly responded. Substitute Benjamin Šeško put Manchester United back in front in the 87th minute, leaving Everton with very little time to find another goal.
But Everton kept pushing. In the fifth minute of added time, Maitland-Niles found space inside the box and fired the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 2–2 and send the home fans wild.
The result keeps Everton unbeaten in their first three Premier League matches, while Manchester United move to four points. For Everton, the late equalizer could prove to be an important point in a dramatic start to the season.
