Ghanaian music star King Promise is bringing romance to the screen with the official music video for his new single “Melody,” released on October 23, 2026.
The song celebrates the beauty and attraction of a woman, with King Promise using his smooth vocals to express the feeling of falling for someone special. Blending Afrobeats, Highlife and R&B influences, “Melody” delivers a romantic sound built around an easy-to-remember hook.
Produced by Gideonite, the track puts love and attraction at the centre of King Promise’s latest release. Its catchy sound continues the Ghanaian singer’s familiar approach to combining contemporary Afrobeats with melodic influences from Ghanaian music.
“Melody” also marks King Promise’s first official solo single of 2026, following his collaborative project See What We’ve Done with Nigerian singer Mr Eazi, which arrived in April.
The new single is more than a standalone release. It is also the first official single from King Promise’s upcoming solo album, which is planned for 2027. The project will follow his previous studio album, True to Self, released in 2024.
King Promise has continued to build his international profile through music and major collaborations, including his global hit “Terminator” and his recent partnership with Chelsea FC on the club’s anthem, “Can’t Tame Us.”
With “Melody,” he turns the focus back to romance, giving fans a fresh solo release while offering a first taste of the musical direction ahead of his next album.
