Dancehall star Vybz Kartel has given fans another reason to revisit his song “Ever Blessed” with a new version of the music video featuring the artist himself on screen.
The song already had a music video released in 2013, but the newly shared version offers fans a different visual experience. For listeners who have enjoyed the track for years, seeing Kartel appear in the video adds a new reason to return to one of his older songs.
“Ever Blessed” was produced by Tarik “Rvssian” Johnston for Head Concussion Records. The song was released in December 2012, while the earlier music video received attention in March 2013.
The new version credits Adidjahiem Records and Head Concussion Records as producers, with 21st Hapilos Digital Distribution Inc. handling distribution.
Kartel’s career took a major turn after his arrest in September 2011. During his time in prison, he continued releasing music, building an extensive catalogue that fans have continued to follow.
The appearance of Kartel in this version of “Ever Blessed” may leave fans wondering whether other songs released during his time in prison could also receive music videos featuring him. With many tracks in his catalogue, fans have plenty of music they would love to see brought to life visually.
The new video may also show how much “Ever Blessed” means to Kartel, although he has not publicly explained why this version was released. For now, fans can enjoy another visual take on the familiar song and compare it with the earlier video.
