Kenyan-Norwegian music group MATATA teamed up with Kenyan singer Coster Ojwang on “PARARIRA,” a love song that blends modern Afropop rhythms with a romantic story.
The track brings together MATATA’s energetic sound and Coster Ojwang’s soulful vocals. Together, they explore the excitement of love, the desire to be close to someone special, and the challenges that come with keeping a relationship private.
In “PARARIRA,” the artists sing about attraction, commitment and the temptation that can come with romance. Its catchy rhythm gives the song an upbeat feel, while its lyrics focus on the personal side of relationships.
The collaboration appears on MATATA’s MPISHI project, released on October 31, 2025. The project features eight tracks and brings together several collaborations, including songs with Bien, Mejja, Savara, Sofiya Nzau and Watendawili. “PARARIRA” adds Coster Ojwang to that list of collaborators.
MATATA shared the song’s official visualizer on YouTube in November 2025, giving fans a visual companion to the track. Rather than presenting it as a traditional storyline music video, the release uses the visualizer format to accompany the music.
With MATATA’s lively delivery and Coster Ojwang’s distinctive vocal style, “PARARIRA” brings two Kenyan musical acts together on a track built around romance and rhythm.
